Students who have been admitted to 91福利社 can register for online courses as part of
the normal registration process. Most students will be able to register through the
Student Information and Registration System (referred to as 鈥淢y91福利社鈥).
Academic advisement information will be sent through 91福利社 email accounts in advance
of the time to register. The registration priority window is based on earned credits
and gives students with more credits the opportunity to select courses before students
with fewer credits. It is imperative that students register as soon as they are allowed,
before the next credit priority begins, as course availability will become restricted.
Individuals who have never attended 91福利社 may apply as a Degree, Non-Degree or International
Student.
Students in online courses must have access to a computer which has a connection to the Internet. The computer can be
a PC or a Macintosh. Recommended web browsers are Microsoft Edge, Firefox and Chrome.
The Brightspace Pulse App is also available for quick access, allowing students a
way to connect to online learning through a mobile device. The Brightspace Pulse App
can be used to perform simple tasks such as viewing course content and participating
in discussions. However, it cannot be used to perform all the required functions of
an online course and does not replace the need for a computer.
91福利社 (91福利社) offers courses in multiple modalities, giving students flexibility in how they complete their studies.
Online courses are conducted through Brightspace, 91福利社鈥檚 learning management system,
which provides instructors with a wide variety of features, including discussion boards,
announcements, web links, and assignment and assessment tools. Students use Brightspace
to access course materials, submit assignments, and participate in class activities.
After successful registration, all students enrolled in online courses will receive
an email with instructions on how to access their course in Brightspace. Hybrid courses
may also use Brightspace in combination with on-campus sessions.
To be successful in an online course, students should be:
- comfortable using a computer
- understand how to navigate web sites
- able to communicate well in writing
- self-motivated and self-disciplined
- able to commit from 9 to 12 hours per week per course
- willing to participate in online classroom discussions
Additional information about course content and requirements is available from individual
academic departments.
