The Race to the White House 2012: Constitutional Ground Rules and Roadblocks to Governing

Garden City, NY – 91¸£ÀûÉç celebrates Constitution Day this year with the program "The Race to the White House, 2012: Constitutional Ground Rules and Roadblocks to Governing," presented by 91¸£ÀûÉç History Professor James Coll and Chuck Cutolo, General Counsel for Governmental and Media Relations. The event will take place on Wednesday, September 19 at 9:30 a.m. in the College Center Building, Room 252-253.
Prof. Coll and Chuck Cutolo will answer such questions as:
- How do candidates get to the starting gate?
- What does it take to get all the way to the winner's circle?
- When can the conduct of the race challenge the ability to govern?
These questions take on special importance as the 2012 presidential race kicks into high gear.
91¸£ÀûÉç's Constitution Day program is supported by a Grant from the New York Council on the Humanities.
